Balboa Banana

Instructions: #1 peel each banana and place a wooden ice pop stick or chopstick into one end. Put bananas on a unbleached parchment paper covered plate and place in freezer for at least 2 hours #2 meanwhile on the stove heat up peanut butter until softened and slightly warm, dip the bananas in the warm peanut butter to coat and place back in freezer for 30 minutes to harden #3 melt the cacao bars over the stove and dip the peanut butter covered bananas into the melted cacao. Sprinkle on any desired toppings before the cacao hardens and place back in the freezer for an additional 30 minutes then enjoy!

 

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas or use strawberries

  • 1/2 cup raw peanut butter

  • 1/2 cup 100% pure cacao bars

  • toppings: cacao nibs and/or crushed nuts (optional
